Default Quick question (probably easy)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I've got a user who's getting a newer Blackberry today and has his contacts stored actually on his BB rather than in his mailbox.
How would I go about moving his contacts (maybe calendar as well) to his new BB? It might be easy but I thought I'd check for the best way before I start as he's a field sales guy and only onsite briefly so need to do this as quick as I can.

Any help much appreciated.

Many thanks

Possibly use Desktop Manager to do a Backup and Restore. There may be better ways but that's the first that comes to mind.

Cool, cheers. I ended up doing a backup/restore of just his contacts. One thing he does enquire about is that he is losing all his old e-mails with the new BB. I know it only shows the last 5 days etc. (he's not got access to a PC) but refers to older ones.
The BB is currently being activated. Could I use the restore function to get his messages back on the device or would that cause complications?
Thanks for the tip also about the Switch Device Wizard, I'll check that out next time.

It shouldn't cause any complication.
Everything you have backed up should be restored without problems and without affecting new BES activation. Although, problems could happen but not likely.
