Hi all,

I'm new to the forums and i was wondering if there was a way to backup my blackberry pearl contacts on my computer. I don't have outlook so I was wondering if there was another to way to get all the info, since when I tried to use the desktop manager it didnt work. You know, just like a file with everyone's info just in case something goes wrong (which knowing me, is inevitable)....all the research i've done only discusses how to add contacts, but not extract them

JC stopping by....

The only way to backup the device is using the Desktop Manager or syncing with Outlook (which only backs up PIM information.)

When the BB is plugged in to your computer, go to your Desktop Manager, click on Backup/Restore, then click on Options, which takes you to a screen where you can schedule the system prompt you to do regular backups of your data.

Syncing to Outlook is seamless and quickest route.

Backing up in Desktop Manager will do, and extract with AmberABC posted by EZ.
