Default First screen died, now this... help please!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys, first time poster (long time reader)... Hope you can help me.!

So, the other day I was hanging out and accidentally droped my phone from my pocket, it clearly hit the ground worst possible way... Smashed the screen pretty hard... so my first step was to get a new part (002/111). Now that I managed to change the broken screen, I´m getting this noisy images and wrong image composition. Could this be a defective screen? maybe flex? or could it be that the hit it received the other day broke something else as well?

any thoughts? I´m attaching some pictures I took for you to see

one important thing I forgot to mention is that the phone works PERFECT. I can receive and make calls. I hear incoming sms, mms and bbm messages as well.

Only problem is the screen.

Well if the phone has any scratches or dents on it from when you dropped it RIM might be no even look at it. As far as finding a replacement screen or other parts I recommend you check Ebay or google it.

If you lived in Colombia I would suggest you go to the local mall and get them to fix it!

Not sure what number screen you removed but it's important the new one match numbers. Also only buy from a reputable dealer not just some part offered on Ebay. The screens are easy to replace and videos are available online for help. One thing you can check is the connections. Make sure they are tight and not dirty.

Thanks for your feedback. Problem was a defective replacement. Went to the store where I bought it and they gave me another one... Now phone works perfect!
