Default Why cant i see my pictures?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I have a work supplied BB which is fully encrypted. Recently on a business trip i used it to take come pictures as I'd forgotten my camera.

Ive connected the BB to my laptop and have launched the Media Manager through the desktop application. I can see the pics are there but they all have the .rem extension so I cant view them, although I obviously can on the BB itself.

I have entered the correct password when prompted both on the BB and on the Media Manager.

Can anyone help or offer any advice on this as I know its just the way I'm doing it.

Thanks.

I haven't done this because I have my BlackBerry set to encrypt all but media files, thus images, video, and audio are not encrypted. Of course that is not an option for you. But try this and see: Set desktop manager to sync media. You likely won't see the decrypted images in Desktop Manager, just as you cannot now, but when you sync the image files may be copied to your computer un-encrypted, but I'm not sure. The only other option I can think of is downloading and installing an old version of desktop manager with the roxio media manager plugin. That will allow you to copy encrypted files to the computer unencrypted. But see if the media sync in the latest version will do it.

The other option is to email the image files to yourself. People with OS 6 have had trouble doing this with encrypted files, but you should be able to do it if you are on an earlier OS, I think.
