Default I can't reply to a message in the Tour

Please Login to Remove!

I just moved from the 'curve' to the 'tour'. When I get an e-mail, in the curve, all I had to do was hit "R" then type something and hit send to reply. Now when I do this all I get is a "save draft" option and no way to send the reply.

I sure hope Blackberry hasn't taken out this great tool. Any help appreciated.

Welcome to the forums.

If you press the menu key, do you get a reply option?

If not, try resending your service books.

If that doesn't help, delete the account and re-add it.

The "R" shortcut for responding to an email is still alive and well, at least on my Sprint Tour.

I hope I'm describing this right. In Curve, if I got an e-mail, I just hit reply, typed something, and hit send. No problem.

When I do this now with the Tour, all the only option I get is to "save draft". no 'send' option appears.

This is a personal BB and I've never figured out how to get my Yahoo e-mail contacts into BB, so all I can do with BB has been to respond to incoming messages - and now I can't do that.

I tried the hard re-boot & will try some of the other things.

If you're missing the Send option, try the links in the post I made above. It should correct your issue.

I hit "send" and away it goes! Delivered immediately. Sounds like your BB doesn't have a BlackBerry data plan associated with it, or at least no email accounts with proper outgoing servers defined.

The OP has Verizon, so he has to have a data plan. I would follow jsconyers' advice.

Methinks that jsconyers had the solution straight off. How did this thread get so far off track? Read, read, read folks...
