Default Email Confusion

Please Login to Remove!

My device is set up to receive emails from three different email addys (all mine). My problem is that for whatever reason, when I send an email from my device, and don't pay close attention, it goes out under my gmail addy instead of my preferred business addy. How do I ensure that the preferred business addy is the default addy from which all emails and replies will occur?

TY,

Lets say someone has three email account:
[email address]
[email address]
[email address]

If someone sends an email to [email address], if choose to reply to that message, it will send from [email address]. If someone sends and email to [email address] and you reply to that message, it will send from [email address]. You have to manually change it if you want to change to account to send from.

Thank you, understood. How do I assure that all originating emails are going out from my business email addy?

Do you use the three separate email icons for the inbox or do you use the combined messages icon for the inbox?

When you go to the combined message icon and compose a new email, go to the area where it has the forms for to and from. Change the from to your business email. I don't have more than one account, so I'm not sure how to make that the default, but maybe there is an extra menu option to do so. Look around.

There's more to it than that.

Homescreen > Options > Advanced > Default Services.
Set your preferred email sending address there.

Now, also understand that the Blackberry will remember which email address you LAST used to email a certain contact. If you email good buddy Jim from your personal account, the next time you email good buddy Jim, it will default to send from the personal account UNLESS you go change the "send using" header of the email.

This ^^ occurs regardless of what default mail service you have set in the Advanced Options.
