What do you think about Sarah Palin remaining on the national scene and looking for a shot at 2012? She has formed a PAC named SarahPac.

WASHINGTON Sarah Palin has launched a new political action committee called SarahPac, signaling that the Alaska Governor intends to remain a player in national politics even after her failed bid to become the countrys first female vice president.

"SarahPac will support local and national candidates who share Gov. Palin's ideas and goals for our country," says the PACs Web site, which promises that Palin will be "a strong voice for energy independence and reform."

A spokesperson for SarahPac confirmed that Palin is behind the group and said it was registered with the Federal Election Commission on Monday evening. The Web site went live on Tuesday morning and is already soliciting donations.

Yeah, I guess so. I wasn't too thrilled with her as a VP pick though. If McCain had to pick a female VP candidate, I thought there were other more qualified women out there. Like Kay Huchinson or Christie Whitman. Anyway, I think she'll be around for a while, like it or not.

amen to that, although I think Romney was the pick for McCain.

I personally think the future of the GOP is Bobby Jindal. But as a non-Repub I would be more than pleased to see sweet Sarah in the next election.

Her latest comments on SarahPac:

(CNN) Alaska governor Sarah Palin tried to beat back speculation she is already plotting a 2012 presidential bid Wednesday night, days after her newly-formed political action committee aroused suspicions to the contrary.

No, not at all, not at all, no," Palin said definitely when asked if the new committee means she already has her eye on the White House.

Instead, Palin said her new PAC will help defray the costs of travel to events that may be construed as political.

"Its helpful to have a PAC so that when Im invited to things even like to speak at the Lincoln Day dinner in Fairbanks, to have a PAC pay for that instead of have the state pay for that because that could be considered quasi-political,"

Smart choice she makes. Wise.
Better than having us or the AK taxpayers pay for such matters.

Right. And they all say that as far as not running. But she'll be a force in the party, one way or another.

This PAC allows her collect money at this point without registering as a candidate, which you can't do yet.

Obama did it too, which makes it ok.
