I want the 9000 so much! So much quicker, so much more internal memory, etc and etc! Oh well, maybe someday.

I know BES can disable them, but some sectors of the government don't want cameras whatsoever in their buildings, so security wouldn't be able to tell if someone's BB is disabled by BES or not just by looking. So that may not be sufficient for government use.

I thought I read that the Bold will be exclusive to AT&T in the US. Am I wrong?

Not really.. If it is exclusive it will be for 3 months. The 3G T-Mobile version will be available in September.

Yeah.. I don't call 3 months an exclusivity agreement (What they have on the iPhone, THAT'S an exclusivity agreement). And the fact that the T-Mobile version will be using a 1700MHz antenna for their 3G, it would make sense for T-Mo to delay release until they can get the 3G towers up and running in the major cities.

For us Verizon people

"The initial model would support GSM networks, the kind employed by AT&T and T-Mobile. Later models could work on the Sprint Nextel Corp. and Verizon Wireless networks, according to RIM co-chief executive Mike Lazaridis."

I would say a year after like they did with the curve!!!

What am I most excited about?

1gig of internal memory
Faster processor!!!
That beautiful screen

Not too fond of the looks. I still like the look of the curve better. The "Bold" just doesn't look "new." I don't get the same feeling like the first time I saw pics of the 8700. And the larger size?

Hmm, guess i've grown used to my curve. But I will reserve judgement on the size until I have the actual unit in my hands.

My roomate has the Bold! He works for Rim and would not let me touch the thing but all I have to say is that the video on the bold is amazing he showed me a clip of final fantasy and I was blown away. Way better than my iphone. Blackberries here at Waterloo are so common everyone works at RIM and I am jealous because I am not studying anything related with phone 'making.' Please don't rip on me because this is my first post. I like to read more than chat. I joined in jan when I had a pearl. That's all for now

Hey Akim, do me a favour? Drag some facts out of your RIM buddies about when the Bold is available in the UK, and whether its an all-carrier release or not? I, along with many Brits here, would be very appreciative of those efforts! Thanks.

a) I recall that your posts saying, you were so disappoint with curve. Now you are happy and love with curve.. thats werid..

b) Yes, I agree with you.. the Bold doesn't look new! Don't get me wrong, I would like to get one. I REALLY don't care the style, I want the upgraded features, big size like of 8700, and functionality.

c) When I seeing the image of the BOLD in the presnt I feeling same first sight I saw image of the 8700 series in past.
