The 7290 can use monophonic MIDI ringtones, and some polyphonic MIDI ringtones may work if the melody is confined to a specific track. It's not compatible with any other type of ringtone.

You could use this search engine for MIDI ringtones: http://www.midisite.co.uk/. It will be mostly trial and error to find ones that sound good on your 7290. For non-musical ringtones, visit http://tones.jimvaughan.com with your BlackBerry. Alternatively, you can visit http://davidenglish.com/wml/index.wml with your BlackBerry and choose "Non-Musical MIDI Ringtones."
