I order a few of these Black bezel's for people at work and the last one I got in from CNN.CN is almost IDENTICAL to the berrymods one in finish. The buttons/memory door that CNN.CN Ships are still the old more glossy finish.

Just so you guys know, there is now pretty much no difference between the berrymods cover and the cnn.cn cover which is a shame, because I liked the cnn.cn finish better.

By the way... just how slow are balls?
Well it's finally in the state of CA which is good news.

14 days to make that trip, apparently balls slow is just under 20mph average.

Yeah, they are pretty slow. I noticed that it didn't ship until a few days after I got an email saying it shipped.

The USPS on the other hand....geez. I live in NJ. The package from cnn.cn went to US customs in NYC... standard. I then went to check the status online, and noticed it was in MINNESOTA. And then it came back to NJ. wtf? China -> NYC -> MN -> NJ. I called the USPS and spoke to a nice lady who informed me that "mail doesnt always go in a straight line"

So if any of you are waiting on a package, perhaps it's on a scenic tour of the country.

Your Bold looks great! One question, how did you get your messages and calendar to be displayed on your home page?

Does anyone know of any shops or individuals in the Bay Area that will switch out my factory bezel with a black bezel on the bold? Call me lazy, but I just figure someone else will be better at doing this than me. Thanks!

I did the black bezel mod including all of the buttons etc. After a day I went back to the original silver trim. I didn't like the way it looked. It was like staring into a black hole- lifeless.
I also replaced the white track with the G1 black one. I dumped that after a day also- no back light shows through the black one.
I was not able to transfer the black battery latch to the original spring which is not included with the black battery button. My silver battery latch button was sonically welded to the spring. Has anyone been successful in removing this? I sent CNN a note.
Jim
