Default Today Home Screen Layout Displaying Messages/Call Log

Please Login to Remove!

Before I got my 9700 I was using a Nokia (which I loved).

One thing I liked was that it listed the most recent messages and calls/appointments on the main screen regardless of if it was unread or not.

On the 9700 home screen, when changed to the today view, it is separated by 3 areas - Messages, Call Log, and Calendar. While it displays your next 2 calendar items, it only displays unread messages and missed calls.

Is there any way to have it permanently display messages, and either get rid of the missed call log and just display more calendar entries?

For the Bold (9000) a 'theme' was built pretty quickly that had something similar. I hope to see something like this for the 9700 pretty quickly too. That would be the one thing I'd miss about the 9000 except that I like so many other things with the 9700 that I have forgotten!

I made a Today theme for the 9700, but the messages list on it only shows the messages that have not been acknowledged yet. After you go into the messages app and see them there, they're removed from the today list.

If you want to look at the theme it's in the media center section on the forums here, but it behaves the same way you described with it not always showing the last 3 unread messages.

Has anyone found an answer to this problem? Again, the Messages Application in the Today Layout only displays Messages (text or email) that have not been acknowledged yet. Is there a way I can get the Messages Application to display the most recent 3 entries in the Today Layout?
