Let me tell you what I hate. I hate that I still relieve SMS marketing text messages even after I have unsubscribed from the at least 3 times. I havn't had a chance yet to complain, however once I do they better give me some sort of compensation for being unbelievably invasive. Not once did I ever get a marketing txt msg from Verizon in 12 years.

You still wouldn't get any from VZW. The only messasges we send out are ones you request, for instance, to let you know your bill is ready to be viewed on line, etc.

Are these messages from ATT itself or a third party?

Onlt sms att will send is if you make change to acct, bill is due, or you are about to go into some type of overage use

Only messages I get from AT&T are "free" informational type messages, or billing messages, i.e., "we received your payment", etc. No spam, or invasive messages from AT&T, and that is the way I like it.

That was one of the things that I hated the most about being with AT&T .. Those marketing messages would drive me crazy!
