Thumbs down April 07 RIM Outage Comments

Please Login to Remove!

During (and after) the April RIM service collapse, neither the RIM nor the BB websites had one word acknowleging the outage. That's a sorry way to run a company, simply ignoring the fact that you failed your customers, apparently hoping they wouldn't notice.

RIM's co-CEO made the moronic statement that since the RIM network was down, they didn't have the means to communicate to its customers. That's bull. Since 99.99% of BB's customers have internet service independent of BB, it would've been quite easy to post information on the RIM and BB websites, at least acknowleging that RIM was the source of the failure. Then he had the nerve to say that once the cause was determined it was fully and accurately explained! How'd they do this? By phone? Nope. By email? Nope. By their website? Absolutely not. RIM's PR folks are a bunch of deceitful liars. Obviously, today's corporate fess-up practices haven't made their way up to Canadian companies yet.

I'll be happy when our company switches over to different mobile devices. At least we won't have to suffer RIM's shameful denial behavior.

Yeah - just constant device reboots.

It was an outage, deal with it, move on with your life.
