After hours of trying to pluck through what was at least 98% advertising in google search results and even using the search button on this forum, I can't find any source of a Blackberry desktop version older than 4.2. Since I have an older model, I really don't want to download a 100mb file to my computer just for the sole purpose of backing up my data.

Also, in 4.x and 5.0 versions of the blackberry desktop, I'm totally unable to copy pictures to my Blackberry as neither, mediasync or media manager seem to work with my phone (though I'm able to install apps and backup/restore addresses and such).

So basically, I'm asking if anyone knows where I can grab an older version of the desktop software, preferably from when or not too long after my old phone was still current.

RIM has pulled all version of Desktop Manager older than 4.5
