Default T-Mobile "edge" Problem with .122

Please Login to Remove!

So I want to say THANK YOU first of all to BB forums for teaching me how to upgrade my beloved unlocked storm. Its running soooooo much faster.

But...

Now that I have done this I either dont get "EDGE" at all or it chooses when it wants to give me "EDGE".

There was mention in the official upgrade thread about switching the radio to the older version but keeping everything else updated, this is a little over my head so I was wondering if I could get explicit step by step instructions on how to do this.

Thanks!

Wirelessly posted (9000)

Do a google search for swap-a-radio. This little gem of program will doo all the work for you. You tell it what directory to install in and away it goes. I would use .90 as it holds the best EDGE signal.

I tried the swap-a-radio work-around and it didn't work. I finally had to downgrade the OS to .75 and now have not problems at all.

I have been running .141 for the past couple days and it hasn't been too bad overall. The 9530 has a difficult time maintaining EDGE. I may try the radio swap program as well. .85 was the best for me regarding EDGE.
