Default 9700 vs Kepler/9300?

Please Login to Remove!

I've been on the verge of upgrading from an 8900 on TMO to a 9700 in order to get 3G, although in some ways I prefer the feeling and weight of the 8900. Now I see there's something called the 9300/Kepler that seems to be an 8900 with 3G. Does anyone have any information on the 9300 (particularly important for me is being able to do UMA), when it might come out on TMO and how it stacks up vs the 9700? Thanks

Its a replacement for the 8500 series.
except with 3G and a smaller screen res than the 9700.

So is that inferior to the 8900?

Erm, not sure.
It will have 3G and trackpad over the 8900; but its not as good as the 9700

Thanks, just another reason to put off making a decision until the phone comes out and more details available! What I really want is an upgrade to the 8900 to include 3G (not that concerned about trackpad), but doesn't seem that one is in the works.

the 9700 would be an upgrade. i would consider the 9300 a down grade. like mentioned, its a replacement for the 8500 series. the track pad is standard now, so that feature cancels its self out. whats left is, 3G. yes you gain it on the 9300, but you end up losing more then you gain. slower processor, less memory, lower screen resolution. (i dont know the actual specs so im assuming the lower specs considering its a 8500 replacement) with the 9700, you increase all those specs. and the 9700 has come down in price since its launch

One wouldn't have to deal with the mushy-as-poo keyboard of the 9700, tho, and that's worth quite a bit.

memory is the same on the 9300 [rumour specs] as the 9700.
Its possible it could be released with 512 and OS 6.
Otherwise it seems pointless to replace a not that old model (8500) with a model that also cannot be updated to OS 6 when that's the released.
