"Remember" app search on Q10
Please Login to Remove!
I have 200+ entries in my Remember app on my Q10. They got there very efficiently via Evernote.
There are no tags.
But, with or without tags, there doesn't appear to be a "search" (magnifying glass) anywhere that will allow for inputting the title of any of the entries.
That means I have to swipe down the entire list to get to an entry that starts with the letter "V".
Does anyone know if something is missing in the app or I just don't know where to find it?
Thanks

I don't think there is an in-app search, but the universal search should reveal any Notes/Remembers that fit your overall search criteria, no?

That's a good thought. I'll try it in the morning and promise to report back.
Thank you so much!!!

Re: "Remember" app search on Q10
I think universal search might do the trick... but it would be even better in-app. Remember also lacks specific appointment/reminder times, but according to Michael Clewley, they're going to add it soon (10.2, anyone?)

Re: "Remember" app search on Q10
Hi, Tried it!
"Universal Search" seems to look in every corner for the search term entered...except for "Remember".
But thanks, anyway.
I've been told they're supposed to be working on a few things related to "Remember" like putting it into the "Contacts and Calendar" Google sync package because it's directly related to both. It would be a really good thing to have in-app.
Just don't know if source really knows and/or when that might happen.

Not until 10.2 at the very least. If then....

Re: "Remember" app search on Q10
Sad to hear that but this new Q10 is very, very nice and I think I can live with the inconvenience of wearing out my swiping finger until 10.2 or later to come along. And, I hope developers move along bringing some of our long-term great BBY apps to get on the board.
Thanks!!

Re: "Remember" app search on Q10
So I was playing around with the remember app and then playing with my universal search features and yes, you can search for specific information in any reminder note. Filed and Unfiled. I first searched for information in the titles and then started looking for any info in the note itself. It was bang on every time. I did move reminders to the top of the search list in the options, but that was it. Once search is open you can hit the drop down menu to the left and then you can also choose which app or section you want to search.

Re: "Remember" app search on Q10
Well now. There's something I'm going to try at my first opportunity tomorrow. Sounds like it's the perfect solution for the time being.
Thanks, again, for the continuing attempts to solve this problem until 10.2 (or beyond).
I can't tell you how impressed I am with your dedication. And, I'm sure others with this great new device also appreciate your work.
And, I will report in after my attempt...as before.

Re: "Remember" app search on Q10
Okay, now I see what you're saying and it is "bang on" every time. It's just that my goal is to find the reminder note itself first, without swiping, swiping, swiping all through the list. Then going by it and having to swipe up to get back to it.
Thanks for the suggestion for "within-note" searching. It will come in handy in the notes with lots of content, for sure.
