if this is ALL ABOUT THE 9700, wouldn't it just be better to make ONE topic with all your questions?!

There are seriously tons of threads on this subject. There is no "best app". Everyone has different needs. You need to find the apps that suit you. I have weather apps, you may not want that, I have different browser apps, you may or may not want that either. Only YOU can decide which apps are "best" for you.

I think Poynt, and Google sync (assuming you have a gmail account and are on a BIS plan) are an absolute must. Anything else, is just personal preference.

Google Sync worked terribly for me with contacts. I couldn't find a way to set it to for the BB version to defeat Gmail's version, so if I edited a contact name (for instance), on the next sync instead of changing Gmail's version it would detect Gmail's version as a new contact, download it to my phone, and upload the edited contact on my phone to Gmail. As a result I'd have duplicates on both side.

Shouldn't the damn thing detect the most current version in the first place?
