Default Folder redirection mysteriously changing

Please Login to Remove!

Hey folks, I have a situation that is occuring for a few users on our BES, specifically, folder redirection for inbox gets unchecked.

I can tell you this:

-Most, if not all the time it is just INBOX that gets unchecked.
-On a few occasions (not all the time) I have noticed that the handheld shows the inbox as being redirected yet the server shows it as NOT being redirected.
-Removing and re-adding the redirection on the handheld usually works. Doing it from the BES works.

Until I get this resolved, I am wondering if there is some sort of command line process I can schedule using the Windows scheduler that would execute every hour or so and confirm / set the redirection for a specific person?

One other thing I am wondering about is a possible hot-key combination or series of keystrokes that might be pressed on the device unintentionally that would change the redirection? Users are using Tour 9630's. I remember when we were on the curves, before the firmware was upgraded, pressing the spacebar while in the phone menu would change from Line1 to Line2. People were holstering their phones after a call, not realizing that they hit the space bar, switching it to line 2.....and there is no NAM programmed on that line....

Any ideas?
Thanks!

What version BES are you on?

4.1 has this issue and upgrading to SP6 and apply MR7 will solve it.

Default Upgrading doesn't fix it..

I have the same issue with folder redirection changing randomly so that only the Sent Items are being redirected. I upgraded my BES server to 4.1.7 MR3 (Rollup) (Bundle 52) and had the problem happen again just this morning.

I still need some form of resolution for this...

Its a pain and even we are living with it. We dont have MR7 update but as a workaround we developed a script to identify these users and alert everyday. This is helping us to proactively resolving the issue before user identifies it.

If you are running 4.1.6 apply the SP 7 upgrade. I had this on 2 of my accounts and the upgrade resolved the problem. Only seemed to happen on devices with codes of 4.6 and above.
