Question Bold 9700 'Call Mobile Provider' message

Please Login to Remove!

I have recently updated my BB phone software to V6.0.0.546. Since then, whenever I power up I get a very fleeting message 'Initialising SIM' followed by a message suggesting I call my Mobile Service Provider - Orange.
I have called Orange. They replaced the SIM (might be corrupted) to no avail. They then took me through a full backup, reset, restore cylce to no avail.
It's not a great problem, as the phone works fine otherwise, but it would be good to get rid of the message! Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jimminhad.

I tested the same firmware for Vodafone on 9700 and 9300 and get prompted to select one of their SIM services e.g. Sport, News.
Seems the carriers want to promote their SIM services.
Doesnt appear when I stick a non-blackberry SIM in it though. Its as if its a service book being pushed from the carrier except I cant find anything obvious.

Thanks for that. How do I upgrade to newer FW (FirmWare?). As far as I am aware I am running the latest version of OS 6 (bundle 2475).
