Default Calendar problem with 5.0

Please Login to Remove!

After upgrading to 5.0, my calendar entries didn't come over. I decided to do a restore from a backup copy. Now all my entries are in the device default calendar on my phone, but nothing is in my personal calendar. When I tried to sync with my Yahoo calendar, all entries in the Yahoo calendar were erased. How can I send the default calendar to my Yahoo calendar so that I can then sync it with my phone?

Default Delete the service books of the calendars you don't want

For every email address you have on your device, it will set up a corresponding calendar. To ensure calendar entries go in the desired calendar, delete all the other calendars (assuming you keep only one like I do) by deleting their corresponding service books.

Go to Options -- Advanced Options -- Service Book, and look for the entries that end in [CICAL]. Delete all the entries except the one you want to use, such as the Yahoo one. This will force it to sync with that calendar.

Once you've done this you'll probably have to restore your backed up calendar again.

You'll find a lot more detail on calendars & service books throughout the site and perhaps other ways to solve this, but this works for me.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried it, and it worked perfectly.

Default

Those service books will return so make sure your calendar events don't revert back.
