Default Insert SIM card error with any SIM Card I use???

Please Login to Remove!

I have this problem with my BB Bold. It says Insert SIM Card even when I have inserted a sim card. I tried different SIMs and it is the same.

This blackberry is not from any carrier. The phone had a blackberry plan at UTS in curacao Netherlands Antilles. Is it possible that it was blocked by this provider. It even does not recognize a SIM card from this provider.

Strange?? Any help will be very helpfull. Thanks!!

Take the battery out, wait 10 seconds and put it back in.

Me too. I have the same problem with a BB Bold that RIM gift me the last year on the Blackbberry developere conference on CA.

The first 3 months was working fine and later it occured this problem. I already upgrade/downgrade it and it doesn't detect the SIM yet.

Actually I only use it like a camera and for listen music jejejeje :(

If anybody has a solution share it please.

Regards.

I had two 7290 units from T-Mobile that did this to me, it was determined by T-Mobile that the SIM reader was not functional and the units needed replacement. Units were out of warranty so I moved to a new unit.
