With this battery can I expect the battery life on the Curve to be similar to what I would experience on my 8800 with its OEM battery? Assume similar useage since I don't use the Wifi much...still have the E61i for VoIP.

Is $39.95 the BB forum price or is that the general price?

Glad to see Seidio came out with a better battery!
The 8800's OEM battery at 1400mAh last so much longer, not sure why the decided to skimp on this one especially with the GPS built in. It drains the battery fast.

I paid 39.99 for the other one 1300mah. They were kind enough to let me exchange it for the 1500mah. Is there a price difference to pay?? I'm seeing conflicting prices, is it 5 bucks more?

What about a new 8800 series extended battery with somewhere like 1800mAh?

I am a believer. My battery should have been at 55% at the end of the day but was surprised to see 75%. The battery is just a little thicker than the OEM which makes the OEM back fit snug. Snug is a good thing.

I do not think this battery will give everyone an extra day of use but it could make the difference for some who can not quite get buy with the OEM between charges.

I don't have precise data yet, but it appears the battery will give me an additional hour of talk time. The battery is a bit heavier and it changes the balance of the phone. It's more bottom weighted than with the standard battery. Don't think I'll have an problem getting used to that though.

Dear Seidio, after purchasing the 1300 not long ago I would appreciate at least the $39.95 price! How can I do this on the site?

By the way, was really impressed by the 1300, so am willing to grab the 1500 but need that little incentive on the price. Since my wife is sensitive to my crackberry addiction I need a little help here

I took a small holiday trip last Sunday and took 275 pictures. A few less than I wanted. By the end of the day, I was skimping badly because my battery was at 20% and I was afraid of losing the phone - it turns off when battery reaches 15%. And on my way back, I couldn't use Google Maps because I didn't have the juice. You bet I longed for that 1500mAh battery...

I emailed seidio about my recent 1300mah battery purchase and they have agreed to let me exchange it for the 1500 one! I might even get the charger stand while I'm at it.

You guys who bought the 1300mah battery should stop whining! You bought a product that you wanted and it was delivered as promised. You have no reason to complain. I might buy the 1500mah battery, and if they release a 1700mah battery next week I'll have gotten exactly what I should have, and not entitled to the newer one.

It is really nice that the people at this company are willing to give you guys something to keep you happy though. You just shouldn't demand it because it is not deserved. They are being charitable!

All that said, does anyone know if this one allows for as good battery life, assuming similar useage, as the BlackBerry 8800?

I had an 8800 and an 8820 and this 1500mAh battery makes the 8310 I am using feel like the 8800 series I was used to.....it was the perfect add on to this device. Much needed!

I just got the 1500 mah battery. The instructions say to charge that battery for 8 hours. Should I not wear it down to almost zero prior to the first charge? Did you guys just charge it up right when you first got it?

Thanks in advance for you help!
