So if you have a wired ethernet connection available in your hotel room and your UMA capable blackberry with you, how do you use the available connection easily and cheaply?

This solution works quite well as I've seen and tested.

Get yourself a Nintendo wi-fi usb adapter from an electronics store:

You should be able to find it most places for about $35, the local Wal-Mart here had it for $32 on the shelf.

After you've purchased it, DON'T use the drivers or CD included with the product, instead download this pack of drivers:

Follow the steps 1-6 here to get the drivers installed and the usb adapter into SoftAP mode:

Stop in step 6 where he tells you to configure the network bridge and such. What we're going to do is ignore the utility at this point and use Windows XP to complete the bridge configuration.

Before you setup the network bridge, make sure that the BB can see the SSID and connect to it, I'd recommend not turning on any security while you set this up, and after it's all working, go back and enable security as you see fit. You'll know the BB can associate with the SSID if the wi-fi logo on the top of the display goes from grey to black. At that point you need to configure the network bridge to test the rest out as it won't be able to connect to anything without it.

Go into your Network Connections folder where you can view the Nintendo USB adapter and the Local Area Connections in the same window. Hold down on the control key on your keyboard and highlight the wired ethernet connection and then highlight the connection to the usb adapter, right click one of them after both are highlighted and select "Bridge Connections"

As long as your BB can associate with the SSID that you have created using the Asus wireless configuration tool, then it will be seamlessly connected to the wired ethernet connection. I have NOT tested this with other internet connections but see no reason this couldn't work over something like a wireless modem or any other device.

You can enable WEP encryption and MAC filtering using the Asus utility as well, I did notice that the 8320 didn't like some channels being used by the usb adapter, so I kept it on 1.
