Default backlight

Please Login to Remove!

how do i ensure the backlight strenght is the most at all times?

it seems to phase out after a couple of seconds... my strenght is set to 100 (the maximum)

any ideas?

It seems to be a bug in the system. Mine gets bright and then goes dim. Just got used to it.

that did it... any ideas on how to maintain this brightness? i have weak eyes

It not a bug in the system, it does that to conserve battery power. Try BBLight. Not sure if it works on the 8700 but it probably does

It does work, but not correctly. And I believe it is a bug. Is that why I can stand in one space where the light doesnt change and my device automatically increases the brightness to full strength? For no apparent reason? Then decreases it, for no apparent reason? Just a guess.

I have definately seen the same dimming issue. I thought it was just mine.

If you want the backlight constant, turn off Auto-Backlight in Options, Screen/Keyboard. Set Brightness to about 60 and use the Power key to boost it when necessary. Your keyboard backlight will always be on too. Your battery consumption will increase.
