Default UK BIS Bolders - what do you pay, and what do you get?

Please Login to Remove!

Just wanted to get a feel for best-pricing at the moment on the Bold. So...

What do you pay per month?
How many inclusive minutes?
How many inclusive texts?
Inclusive BB data?
Which carrier?
Length of contract?

Thanks guys.

Blimey, that's pretty good. Did you have to bully them by 'leaving' to get this?

nope, I was with Orange. Saw it as a weekly deal they were offering and took them up on it; i'm not sure if that deal is still going, but you could ask. That was just 2 weeks ago.

To get that on Vodafone for £35 a month they told me I had to go on a 24 month tariff. I am happy with my bold as I got it from Carphone Warehouse so it is unlocked and unbranded.

I am on the O2 simplicity tarriff. I can cancel at any time with 30 days notice. I pay £20 per month for 600 minutes and 1,000 texts. This also includes BIS and unlimited downloads, as well as their International Traveller Service. I was paying £42 for the same with Vodafone on an 18 month SIM only contract - so I'm very happy. I bought my bold off eBay for £270. I think over the next month or two the eBay prices should come down a lot as there will be more around - but I couldn't wait!

The above vodafone tarriff looks very good. I think I was being ripped off. I took the tarriff when I was on a Palm Treo. Then I got a BBerry mid way through the contract and they added £10 a month extra for BIS - I objected - but I was stuck in the contract. I also had to pay £7.50 a month for unlimited web access.

Monthly Tariff for me is: -

Orange Dolphin 35 - £30 instead of £35 p/m via Internet Order at Orange.co.uk
- 600 anytime minutes
- Unlimited texts
Blackberry Internet Service - £2.50 p/m
Contract Length: - 18 months

Total: - £32.50 p/m

However there's a good chance i'll be talking the Orange World Internet Add-On (pending on if there's an unlimited option) and Orange Care in the next couple of months so the monthyl bill will end up at £43.50 p/m...

I'm happy with the service so far - just gotta iron a couple of settings/niggles

Have: 9300 Curve (until the 9900 is released)

Default Dolphin 35

I too am on Dolphin 35 which also gives me unlimited uk landline calls. Plus, as a local government employee I get 10% off my monthly bill. I will also downgrade to the next contract down after 11 (?) months. Happy with the tariff but crap tech support from Orange

But that's with CPW not direct with O2. Mid-October is the earliest you'll see the Bold direct from O2.

That's a cracking deal but wont be available from October 1st, although it'll only increase by a fiver. I think you did the right thing because the Bold will cost a £100 on their 18 month £35 p/m tariff with the same plan as you have.
