I like this build, but I agree that the battery life is worse than .219

I'm done with beta builds.
By "white screen of death" do you mean you're getting an actual error, or is it only when you've received a new message? I get a blank white screen sometimes when the latter is the case, but I think it's because the new message stalled upon automatically opening when I pulled the device from the holster. Hitting return brings it right back to the message folder though. It doesn't happen every time, but I have noticed it happening here and there on most of the OS's I've tried (there have been quite a few LOL).

I, too, get a white screen transiently sometimes when I first pull the BB out of the holster. I don't know that it started with this build, but may have. In any case, it never lasts more than a second and doesn't interfere with function, so far as I know.

As for the battery life, it may be somewhat less than earlier builds, although it isn't a problem for me the way I use the BB. I really don't know the explanation for varying battery life--does it mean that the BB is doing more in the background?

I noticed something today. My New Messsage Icon will sometimes move from the left side of the time to the right side and then moves back.

Im running .190, and I have never had this happen... or atleast noticed it. Are you guys using the general message icon/folder, or are you using seperate inboxes? Just a thought, maybe ifin general messages, it's to indicate one is a text, and one is an email... again, just a thought. I am using individual folders, and I hid my general messges inbox.

This is obviously not a serious issue, but an intresting one... I have been running seperated inboxes and folders, and all my *s appear on the right only. My inboxes, and my applications with notificiations are all on the right.

My VM icon in the ribbon isn't showing up anymore, but I do get the popup dialog when a new one comes in. Rebooting hasn't helped. Anyone else seeing this on .234?

Yup. I just tested it and the icon is missing. The missed call icon shows up, but not the VM.

It happened to several people, including me. Just use Crackutil to remove the 3 VVM files and reboot.

Thanks for the tip. It's not really that big a deal since the notification dialogue pops up, but at least I know how to fix it now if it does become an annoyance!

Or just don't install the VVM files in the first place, by changing the net_rim_bb_vvm.alx file to .old /before/ you open the loader file or Desktop Manager and before you install the OS. AT&T doesn't yet support this function.

Default No GPS, 3G Drops

.234 brings me no Gps and constant 3G drops.
The only positive thing is the volume in Media Player that is now fixed.
I'm back to .219.

I don't recomend this new Beta!!!

.234 has been nothing but GREAT to me! Overall speed is faster, battery is awesome, memory is better than ever before, and browser is the fastest it has been for me with all the builds. I have been trying them all and kept going back to .210, but this one has been going strong and it's a keeper for me!

My GPS works perfectly with .234. I have never had constant 3G where i am, but wonder if either of these problems is due to this OS version.

Default All Languages?

Hi,

I'm new to beta OS's so forgive my ignorance, but I had a question about the Languages included in this OS. Up until now all I've seen are Multi-Language or East Asia OS packs. Looking at this OS file name, it says "AllLang".

Does that mean it really contains all the languages in the Multi-Language and East Asia (which I always thought included everything in the multi-language version anyway, plus some asian languages) version? Or is it just the same as Multi-Language?

And are all beta OS's "AllLang"?

Thanks in advance!!

Since updating to .234
Has anyone realized that synching between Outlook and the BB not all appointments go over. I entered several appointments in my BB, after synch. they did not go over to the Outlook calendar.
Any ideas on this.

Default hybrid OS.103/with radio file .90

I have AT&T running an unlocked Storm and with my current OS (.99) my connection goes from EDGE to edge constantly. Which "hybrid" OS will fix this? Thanks!
