i donno where i've read this today....but sadly i've discovered that RIM will not release a .os6 for bb 9700 because it's obsolete.they'll release a new bb 9700a, or 9710 which gonna have the processor and memory of 9780.quite sad i mean, because i don't thing i would like to buy another bb just to have os6 on it.but, what i surelly know is that this os6 could be modified in such way to work well on bb9700.i love my bb, and i guess there are other things behind this escuse.i don't, and i will not use a leaked os6 on my bb, as much i would like this new leak, cause i am constantly afraid not to use (for ex) win7 on a 1 gb ram pc, if you know what i mean.

please do not post in "text-speak". It is much too hard to read and figure out what you are trying to say and/or ask.

I think I understand what you are asking.

There are carrier supported releases of OS 6 already.

You can use it on yours if you want to. Just revert to current carrier OS if you have to return it.

Not sure where you read it, but Vodafone Essar Limited has already released OS6 for the 9700. Not sure what you read, but I think it is wrong.

Incorrect.
RIM already released OS 6 for the 9700 and there are wireless carriers that have officially approved it and made it public to their users.

i know , guys , it was an old post.however, i guess they should made some modifications (few only) on this os to run smoothly on smaller processor.me, i am used to have most of the time like 128-130 mb free, and believe me you feel the difference between having 128 mb free or just 78 mb free(as you have with os.6)

Wow indeed. I'm happy to have 30-40mb free on my 9000.

If you want the free space, just go back to os5.

Hahaha!!! I have my, still beta (I guess), that is working 95% perfect. I have about 32mb memory often slipping down to 20-15mg for no reason but nothing that a battery pull wouldnt sort. Im happy with it, no other issue.
