Made my trackball black. I know it looks a little blue/grey but it's black.

YAY!! I did it and it looks GREAT!
On another note does anyone know where someone could purchase the first silver ring that holds the "perl" in place?
I think it'd be kinda neat to paint it the same color as the "perl"
I was looking on ebay for parts but didnxxx8217;t find much also looked online an nothing really.
Any suggestions?

"perl" or "pearl"? Well, If you would like to try, maybe spray painting it yourself with some enamel paint, the same stuff used to paint cars. Just make sure you remove the silver ring from the rest of the phone and trackball and paint it outside or in your garage, somewhere with good ventilation.

Start by painting it with some primer, this will make the paint stick better. Then the base coat of whatever color you wish (the same color as the trackball, color of the phone, or even the same color as your car! ) After the base, it's time for the clear coat to give the paint added protection. Feel free to use more than one coat and remember numerous thin coats are better than one thick coat..

If your lazy, on a budget, or just plain cheap, I guess you can skip the primer and clearcoat and just give it a base coat, but I recommend atleast a coat of primer so the paint would stick.

Exclamation Blue doesn't stay blue.

I just wanted to warn people using a blue sharpie to color their LED:

After about 10 days, the color had completely changed to a darker shade of blue, but was much lighter. What I mean is that it looked like a washed out navy. I popped the trackball out again and re-colored it and it is fine...for another 10 days?

I'm not sure about the other colors, but just beware.

Also, I am totally able to remove the trackball WITHOUT removing the metal clip. I remove the PLASTIC clip by prying it off, just like everyone else, then I just apply a little pressure to the bottom right corner of the trackball and it pops right out, metal clip still in place. That's because the first time I did it, when I pried on the clip, the whole trackball assembly came with it, so i figured, what the hay? It works fine.

I was thinking red but was worried that it would fade to pink like the blue fades to light blue. Looks cool though!

Weird! My phone doesn't have 'general settings'. Does anyone have the same problem?!

Never mind. I got it. I totally skipped the "Call Log" part lol.
