would be nice to have the case cover the sides, top, bottom and back only, of course, with the usual cut outs for the 2 side buttons, volume buttons, top mute button, mic, headset, larnyard access holes and the charge/sync port. Covering the screen will be great although I think it might impede the trackball a bit.
It will also be great if the case has a grippy feeling to it (rubberized case). I would rather have one that does not include a belt clip to make it as slim as possible.

funny, that is not what I want at all.
the holster that came with the 7100 was perfect, fit the phone, made it sleep and held it vertically with a belt clip. haven't found one like that for the pearl yet. the sleeve that RIM is coming out with doesn't look like it has the clip.
I have a rubbery cover for my ipod that I don't really like - collects dust and link like mad. but I'm not trying to look at that a million times a day so it doesn't bother me that much.

I had a rubberized hardcase for my treo 650 that I got from ebay before. It does not collect dust at all since the material is different from those silicone skin cases. However, I like to put the Pearl in my pocket, so the slimmest profile that can still afford protection will be best for me. I know there are folks who like to clip it on their belt...maybe Seidio can come up with two different options.

I would like a plastic holster with a rotating belt clip that has the sleep magnet.

That's what I'm using for my Pearl right now, with a small modification (a couple of strips of double-sided tape on the bottom of the case, covered by electrical tape) and it works perfectly.

We are tooling up a swivel lock holster specific for Pearl.

A case like that would be great! Keep it black too. I like the rubberized so that I can put it down on the dashboard when I'm driving and it won't slide around!

clear case would be great! It would be nice if you could add a belt clip to it or take it off if you didnt want to use it.
