Benny, if you're reading the thread -- feature request. In Xiang Qi pressing in on the trackball could (should?) select a piece for move, instead of SPACE. We already have a Menu key for the menu, clicking trackball in shouldn't also display the menu (in my opinion), it's useless. Clicking the trackball would make the game easier to play, clicking SPACE while playing one-handed is hard(er) on the 8100.

Hey, I'm really glad people are leaving positive feedback! I'm just trying to share the joy of owning a BlackBerry. The game was originally written as an applet see PacMan | Play It Online Then I ported to BB 7230 in about a week. Then, last weekend I spent about 10 hours porting to the Pearl and 8xxx. Trying to get the sounds right took a long time because it seems BB only allows you to play 3 sounds simultaneously at a time. (And it was annoying how the trackball clicking takes away one of those sounds.)

Look at my MySpace page. I know what it is like spending hours to get something to work. My little flash files took me all day.

Thanks for the efforts. I played that PacMan game for some friends who have Pearls. They were drooling [not on my Pearl though, on the floor].

haha +1! I used to love that game, it would be *perfect* for a 8xxx device trackball. Too bad we'd all break our fire key (QW or OP?) right away.

What's with Centipede? One girl I sowed, I mean showed, PacMan to asked "Does he have Centipede?"

All that game was to me was a bunch of frustration, the same as this PacMan game was, as I have been reminded by now playing it on the Pearl.

As long as we are discussing nostalgia video games, I'll weigh in and say that Dig Dug and Tempest would be very cool on the 8100.

No problem! It's a free webspace (php0h.com), so if you want go ahead and register your own, I'd be happy to help you set up the OTA directory like I have -- then you would have full control of it to make upgrades, new additions, etc. It takes all of 5 minutes.

(being free they try to sneak in ads but I found a way to avoid them)

Hey Benny, is there any way that you could make the packman show up full screen for those of us that are using a BB8800?

Thanks,

Awesome work by the way!

I am not as smart as you, I went the law route. Wish I knew computer programming to the extent I could make a game for the Pearl. Such talent.

As to carefree days, I fondly remember tooling around on my scooters, eating at Top Dog, Kips or Blondies. No hassles except passing tests, which was far better than real world sheet.

Now get to work fulfilling all the special requests members are posting.

Question Pacman: Up loading to phone

How do I upload the pacman.jad to my phone? I tried uploading via BB desktop manager, but it doesn't recognize the extension. Can someone help me?

Thanks,
