Is there any news on whether or not there will be and upgrade for the blackberry desktops for apples? Right now I just use my brothers dell to update the OS and such but I am just wondering if there is an equal program for macs or one in the near future?

Nothing that I've heard about. PocketMac is all they offer.

you can use pocketmac to sync, parallels or (insert other Windows emulator here) to install DM to that.

I recommend VMWare Fusion running Windows XP as a virtual machine, then use Unity View, and you will swear you have BB Desktop installed on your Mac.

For those of you unfamiliar, Unity integrates Windows apps into the Mac OS UI including the Dock.

Parallels does the same thing, they call it Coherence view. I run PocketMac for day to day syncing on OS X and BB Desktop under Parallels for updates.

I did the same. I do suggest trying the VMWare setup, the performance was good enough for me to switch (and pay for new software).

I use Parallels myself, works like a charm, Missing Sync for BlackBerry within OS X also works well for me.

VMWare Fusion is the bee's knees! I love it!

I do hate windoze however, even if it is only XP Pro. *sigh*

but it does work......

Default Missing Sync work MUCH better for my G4 Powerbook than Pocketmac

Just wanted to say that the $39.95 for Mark/Space Missing Sync for Blackberry is already paying dividends. Pocketmac was driving me crazy--not to mention Pocketmac's horrid customer NO service.

Anyone who has upgraded to Leopard will find Missing Sync a pleasure to use.
