Default *HOT* (as in warm) Tour?

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone experienced the back of the Tour getting warm/heating up while in use? Mine does.

I asked my VZW rep and he said he hasn't heard of any problems so far, but he was surprised to feel the heat on mine that seems to occur when using intensive apps such as VZW Navigator for example.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

I have read some situations on this. I don't see it as a major issue. However, you are still in 30 day window if you want piece of mind

I had a similar issue the other day when I first received the phone. I was downloading a couple of applications while listening to slacker and the phone was very warm. I wouldn't get too concerned.

The only time mine warms up is when I'm charging the phone (after a half hour of it being plugged in), or when I was activating the phone onto the BES (while it was downloading the services and syncing).

Otherwise, it doesn't run "warm" any other time.

Mine definitely gets warmer than the 8830. It's a little past the point of, yeah that's normal.

My Tour is slightly warm during charging or heavy use. Definitely no where near hot to the touch. My Storm gets warmer than the Tour.

My wifes gets really warm while doing just about anything. This is the second one she has had and they both have this issue. My Bold does not get even a little warm. This is down at the bottom of the phone - not adjacent to the battery.

Thumbs down Yes, battery hot here also

Talking on it for 20min the battery gets very hot. Hotter than my curve. 5 other BBusers in the office were very taken back by the "heat" generated by the battery. No, I am not taking on the tour while the unit is charging. Walking around the office with the speaker phone on.

Lets toss the horrible battery life in compared to the Curve also. As much as I want to like this unit, it is so buggy and substandard to the Curve. Glad I can return it to my companies pool of bb's and get a curve. If this were my $$$, the tour would be going back.
