Thumbs down Data on VZW jumped from 2000KB to 157000KB

Please Login to Remove!

All I did was surf mobile wall street journal and mobile politico.com a few times. What gives?

Did you leave anything running in the background that would use data (like any of those apps that maybe 'auto refresh')?

How about tethering? I would expect that type of usage to be more associated with tethering....

Honestly, 1.5 MB of data isn't much. Looks like you're caching web pages, and that will eat up data, especially if there are graphics on those pages. Text alone won't be much data, but charts, tables, political cartoons, etc., will all add up quickly.

My math isn't the greatest, but wouldn't 157000KB be 157M?

what about navigation programs? did you use VZNav at all last month or leave those web pages open? and also, if you have the unlimited plan its virtually immaterial how much data you use.

No VZNav, only background app is facebook which I've run in previous months with no problem and I had no activity spike recently, and I only have the 10 MB plan
