This I know. But I had it running before the 4.5 beta. Now the trick is to figure out how to alter the lbs.alx so that it's enabled.

Seriously I have 4.5.0.9

I like it very much same bugs as noted earlier in this thread. However I like it enough to go with it. I expect such things from a BETA release

Originally I wasn't gonna put it on but temptation got me

signal fluctuation sux but not a big deal as i don't do much talking on the 8800. I have the 8100 to talk on.

But I may roll back on the 8800 nah I won't

At least some folks understand. Thanks. We don't have a real "tight" relationship with RIM but many of our members do and we do have a good relationship and are well-respected by folks at RIM. If that kind of thing is allowed to go on here then many of our members who do have tight relationships with RIM would not frequent the site. We would lose valuable knowledge from the site and all would suffer.

Everyone's understanding is appreciated.

I was referring to this site in general. Thanks for quoting me and insinuating that I "condone the dissemination of RIM's IP."

I think perhaps that goes both ways.

If you've got an issue take it up via PM.

I'm sure I'm fine, I'm just quoting what another mod told me about what to do when someone has an issue.

I was merely suggesting you lose the attitude and use a little tact.

I don't need a PM for that.

Based on this, I'll decide when a PM is necessary for my comments as well then.

As of OS 4.5, BlackBerry Maps will be loaded on all devices (no ALX trick), but now only shows up with a service book from your carrier. When OS 4.5 is launched by AT&T and BlackBerry Maps still doesn't show up, expect a rather long email, a few blog posts, and a lot of noise about trying to further force people to pay $10/month for TeleNav (although I must say that I'm a huge fan of TeleNav now).

In all seriousness, I have searched this site from top to bottom regarding this "4.5 OS" and haven't found anything except speculation of it's deployment and those that say they have it on their 8800 & 8830. Can someone simply post it, send a link, a smoke signal or something?? It's killing me! LOL!
