Neat app but I'd also like it to turn my screen to white at 100%. It only lights up the LED.

Is it possible to make this program turn on the LED flash of the camera on the Pearl 8130? It's quite a bit brighter than the LED on the front.

Andrews that worked great the flash is super bright, although it tends to get stuck in the video software and I have to do a batt pull to get it to reset.

I'm getting a more memory drain ("File Free") than usual since I installed this program. It seems to decline relatively quickly after a hard boot.

Used this app last night to get from living room to bedroom. The LED is very bright. Thanks again rgeorge.

EDIT: andrews - thanks for the video recorder idea. that works well on my 8100 also.

Developers have said that the camera flash is not available to them through the RIM API, so currently, no.

However, see post #28 in this thread for a workaround.

The app is nice but on my 8820 it does not make the screen 100% bright - it would be nice if it did.

Thanks,

Thanks!

This works great on my BOLD 9000 with version .147 of the OS.

I have to click the track ball to bring up Full Menu, so I can close the app.

Just pushing the back button closes it.

On my 8130 Pearl it does turn the status light on full bright, but the LCD backlight intensity is not affected. It will stay dim if it was already dim due to a dark environment.

I just installed it on my 8310. It works ok, but after closing the application my network status light stops flashing for a long time.

Same issue here on my Alltel 8130 / OS 4.5. I have to turn off/on the LED coverage indicator or "trigger" the status light another way...by pairing to something in bluetooth, or receive a message, etc. Otherwise, program works great!

One question though...I noticed the status light, when FreeLight is running, has a spectrum of several different colors. When shining the light on my white bedroom wall I see blue/green/red. It also isn't as bright as I thought it would be, compared to say...the video recorder light. Is that normal?
