The problem I found with this is that Outlook automatically places Birthdays at 12am-12am so it will have already passed when you wake up to see your calender. I moved all mine to 8am-830am and this moved them into an actual time slot. You can even place them at 12pm-1230 so the reminder doesn't go of at 745am in case you are still sleeping. I also went into each Birthday series and changed the reminder to the time I wanted(i.e. 18 hours before). Obviously you will have to scan your calender looking for these entries as you can't fix them in contacts. After you fix them, you can resynch your device. I have used this proceedure on several different events (i.e.Anniversaries, Bill Payments, etc.) and am much happier with the way the calender works.
thank you for your answer barbwyr
wow, that is really complicated. i can not set a certain time in outlook. that is the problem. i have to open every birthday and manually change it. that is little poor i must say.
is there any program which can take care of this??
None that I've seen. I jst went through and changed them manually. You will only have to do it for the next year. Now if you have 2000 Contacts all with birthdays then I feel for ya. I myself only had about a dozen over the year.
Could always try exporting your calendar to a csv text file, opening it in notepad then search and replace then reimport. Not sure what it might do about the repeat element of birthdays tho. Best backup the calendar-all database 1st.
