Default degree symbol

Does anyone know how to get a degree symbol? It is not located in the symbol menu.

As a sailor who deals with navigation and weather on a regular basis it would be great to be able to use a symbol rather than typing out the word.

Just broke my 8310 on friday and replaced it with a Bold. I was wary of the larger size but love the new phone. My thumbs are getting tired.

I too have used the * symbol but would prefer the proper one if anyone knows how to get it.

Corrected post... Now reads "replaced it with a bold."

I copied the symbol from a PC and pasted to an e-mail to myself and then copy and pasted the symbol on my bb to my autotext.

So when I press deg, the symbol pops up.

I made a small change to the autotext tip. I added a backspace so 20 deg turns to 20°. the auto text entry is %b°

For anyone trying to get to this page directly on their phone browser, here is a TinyUrl for quicker navigation:

Brilliant idea, btw.
