Default users can't open attachments

Please Login to Remove!

i admin bes on a certain company. the problem facing my customers is attachment viewing.they are being prompt file not supported. any resolution to this?

Also BES version and OS version of BBs. My 8700 couldn't play wav files from Vonage, my 8310 can.

Also verify the attachment service is installed on the BB Device and the Attachement service is running on the BES.

Alrighty, go to BlackBerry Server Configuration utility and click the Attachment Server tab. Make sure that what you are trying to open is listed and also make sure that your attachment service is started. Try using the attachment test, see if the BES can convert your file.

You can also try restarting the service and see if fixes it. Can the users open any attachments? If so, what works and what doesn't?

Prestin, you are really going to have to be more specific if you want illegitimate answers. All kinds of attachments is not very descriptive. What version of BES are you running, which mail platform (Exchange, Domino, GroupWise)? Is the attachment service running? What file extensions are they trying to open? This is all crucial information to find a solution to your problem.
