Youtube works perfectly on both WiFi and EDGE.
No need to change default APN settings.
Fonts seem crispier and clearer.
Everything else works perfectly.

Just updated which was very quick, 20 minutes! All seems well so far. Youtube works, OS seems snappy. I have to check the ringtones which was way to loud in OS .133... Will keep an eye on the battery life as well.

Thumbs down No Good!

I did just like the directions said, and loaded the OS. Once loaded, everything seemed fine. I did a battery pull and got some weird message. After that I had maybe 10 icons left on my homescreen!!!
I ended up reloading the older OS just to get everything back to normal!
So, I'll pass, when it comes to this OS!!

Just upgraded from .133 to .168. No problems at all. Everything going very well including Youtube.

The GPS picks up much faster but I can't tell about improved battery life because I am coming from .133 not .152.

Default Problem During Upgrade

decided to go ahead and install this upgrade.
ran in to a problem.
install went smoothly all the way til the last step.
i am currently stuck waiting on:
-> restore device data
database: phone call logs
restore progress is stuck at a 2/3 progress complete
and has not moved in 10-15 minutes at least... maybe much longer

should i unplug and start over, wait it out, cancel program from device manager... or....

any advice is appreciated. all previous upgrades i have done on previous devices have all gone smoothly. this one apparently stuck.

You probably have a corrupt phonebook. I really hope you have a previous and fairly recent backup of your phonebook.

At this point, you should unplug and retry. If it still doesn't work, then you should have a fully working device aside from a screwed up phonebook.

Go into desktop manager and go to the backup/restore options and open your recent backup file and choose to only load the phonebook portion of it.

Just got my 8900 from TMO and installed this new OS right out of the box :D. Seems to work good so far, but sometimes UMA is a bit spotty. Other than that flawless.
