Default Email Setup?

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to setup my email however it does not come up with all the set up options:

I went from Setup -> Clicked Setup Wizard -> Clicked Email Setup -> Select an email setup option:

*I want to use a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server

However it does not have the option: *I want to create or add an email address?

Could anyone advise how I could get this option as I need to add existing email addresses and at the moment it does not give me the option to?

Check with the BES admin. There may be an IT policy set where you can only set up approved accounts.

If you want to use BES, then I believe you do have to have a BES plan. You also have to contact the BES admin for info on how to register your device.

I use both BIS and BES.

I'm assuming that if you have BES, this is the only way you can sync contacts between your phone and your desktop? I (of course) have separate e-mail contacts in my work and personal accounts, and would like to have all of them on my BB, but instead only the ones on my BES show up on my BB (and vice versa). But for my personal e-mail, I cannot access my personal e-mail contacts on my BB unless I manually put them in as a contact -- and then, they show up on my WORK (Outlook) e-mail contact list, because anything on the BB shows up in Outlook contacts!

This seems a tad ridiculous to me. Am I missing something?

There might be an IT policy in place not allowing personal email. Check with the BES admin for policies related to your device.
