RIM BlackBerry Goes Yahoo!
Yahoo! Inc. and the stockmarket highflyer RIM (Research In Motion) launched a business relationship to provide Yahoo! Messenger service to RIM BlackBerry users worldwide.
Through this business relationship, the Yahoo and RIM aim to pre-install full-color, graphical Yahoo! Messenger clients on BlackBerry devices in the coming months.
BlackBerry users will be able to access and connect with everyone on their friends buddy list while they are travelling.
The Yahoo! Messenger service on the BlackBerry handhelds will allow users to see which friends are online, send and receive instant messages, have multiple conversations at once, participate in online conferences and even send and view funny emoticons.
As the number of mobile internet users continues to grow, Yahoo! Corp. has rolled out mobile extensions of key services across multiple carriers.
