Hey everyone i just talked to Horizon guys they can now unlocked 9530s in Canada i ordered on there web site will let you know how it goes

Horizon Guys? Do they supply the unlock code when given your IMEI#????

For a fee, yes. This is not a free unlock service, since AFAIK you can only get a free unlock from your branded carrier, if you meet their criteria.

FYI - These guys are great! I've had two devices unlocked through them

Oh, believe me when I say, I know all about Telus NEVER giving out unlock codes. It's not like Verizon where there are some tenure requirements (sometimes waived) before they'll release a code. Telus won't, regardless. So, paying for this is expected.

its pretty reasonable depending on how you value your time think i paid about $70 cdn which is 35 an hour for the two hours of arguing i might have done on the phone with them and may still have been locked, supposed to get my code next day or two stay tuned

They had said Wed or Thurs to me on the phone so im hoping that toss in the holiday im going to get it this week still i will let you guys know im sure there are a lot of people in canada like to see this work

He's local....responded 2 secs after I contacted him via BBM....
I hope he'll come through.....if he does.....I'll be happy to give him a plug to my buds who are in the same boat as me...

I spoke with them by bbm on friday they were suprised not to have it yet apolagized and were hopeful to have it in hand monday, i like dealing with people who stay in touch and inform me on stuff

Seems to be a long time coming. Is it that they just resale the service someone else offers.?

I heard of another company in UK that sales a remote USB unlock. They are called
gsm-tools and sell their service on ebay in the uk. Anyone ever heard of them? They say that they can do 9530's from any carrier.
