Hi All,

just wondering if anyone can help please.

I have 103 7230 BlackBerry devices and i need to upgrade the software on all these handhelds. is there any way that i can upgarde all the devices remotley from the server. without having to upgrade each handheld individually.

When testing it takes around 25 mins to upgarde each handheld individually so it will take some time to get all 103 devices done.

We are currenley running BES Ver 4.0 for exchange, and
handhelds are running software V 3.6
Desktop manager version V3.6

Simple answer: no; each device must be upgraded individually. You can use something like SMS or some other distribution tool to send the package to the desktops, but each handheld must be updated on its own. At 25 minutes each.

If they are local, set up a management station and use it like a refueling center. have a USB hub plugged up and do about 8 devices at once...

i have decided to install the Desktop software via SMS and then get the desktop teeam to do the manual installs.

Remember you will have to re-activate those devices wirelessly after upgrading. Good luck!
