I bought BES 3.6 pre owned, apparently it was not installed or used before but the box was open.

This is for a test environment...

Before I proceed with setting it up, is there anyway I can register the software with Blackberry or confirm registration in my name?

There is no software registration process afaik. Its a matter of whether the bes key and srp id/key are legit or not (hard to fake really).

Thanks for the info... I figured there was some sort of registration, like if I want to purchase a T-support agreement/upgrade....

Guess I will install and see if the service continues to run!

T-Support is based on the license, not the owner when you sign up for it. Plus, you get tx1 for free with the license. All you have to do is get your name added on the list of authorized callers

Actually isn't it Tx0 that you get with the licenses? That I believe is 6 months support for the server itself, 5x8 support as opposed to 5x12 for Tx1, and no upgrades. Still, perfect for when you need help getting the server configured when you install it and those inevitable questions like why you get all those errors in your event log.
