Hi .. I have a Verizon Curve and I am having a strange issue.

I am getting mail fine via GMail .. except for Facebook messages thru Gmail. I see them in GMail on the web, but they are not getting sent to my BB. I am also getting them on the Facebook app, but again .. not on my Gmail inbox on the BB.

I don't have any filters or anything set on BIS .. so I am stumped.

It almost seems that they are being ignored because I have the Facebook app installed, but that seems too much to believe. I am updating the FB app now for what that's worth.

I don't understand the problem. If facebook is installed, you will not get emails in your bb inbox

I have the same issue. However, I find it to be more of a blessing than a curse.

Rather than get 2 emails, I only get the one "Facebook Notification" rather than the two.

However, I still need to jump on the laptop or go into the GMail app to delete the actual "notification email".

I noticed a setting in the Facebook app that will allow you to NOT keep a notification in your email account if you would prefer...although that is for FB v1.6

This is true. However, the berry is programed to pick up the facebook messages in the facebook app. You will never see emails from them

Thanks ... in the past I thought I got them in the inbox, even with Facebook installed, but maybe not. Anyway .. thanks for the answers.

I have seen this option, and tried to use it, but it hasn't EVER worked with my Yahoo account. I still have the facebook emails on the yahoo server....

This makes a lot of sense, I was beginning to worry I was missing out on other emails because I wasn't getting these.

yeah. i've been trying to find a work around, as it is very annoying. no luck tho..
