Exclamation Application Loader unable to connect

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys

I new to this forum, can someone please help. I am using a 9000 bold and i have tried to update the os. the phone is totally dead now except for the red light in the right top corner. i kept on getting the message 'application loader unable to connect to device' i have tried it on both the laptop as well as the desktop but still no luck. i have tried to run it from "c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm still no joy. i have also tried to start the application without the battery and then replace the battery but gets the following error 'Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation'

Anyone out there who can assist me?

Dirk

Are you using the same computer, USB port, and USB cable that you have been using all along, or is this the first time?

FYI BlackBerrys do not do well with USB hubs, etc. Use a USB port on the computer. Try different ones if you have to.

Also, USB cables have been known to fail.

Search on that error message. You might want to browse http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-...rror-help.html and see if anything jumps out at you that you haven't tried.

My next thought would be to check and make sure the computer isn't going into power saving mode and shutting down power to the USB.

Was everything ok before you tried the update? Or were you having problems and that's why you were trying the upgrade?

This application may help force a new load to the BB. I have used it to fix a corrupted load when the BB failed and then was not seen by the PC.
