Wirelessly posted (Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.1.7196/1684; en; U; ssr))

It's up to carriers to decide when they want to release the current output from RIM. There's no schedule or advanced announcement of it, it comes when it comes.
Odds are at this point there will be little more than incremental bug fixes made to the 4.2.1 branch in coming releases, so it's not really something to be waiting around for.

I found out that there will not be a release until December 2007. I understand that this release will support A2DP.

I:
a) Question your source for this
b) Don't believe it even if it came from a half respectable source. There will be plenty of releases from various carriers over the next 6 months

Does the new AT&T release supercede the latest Rogers release?

Its true. I spoke to my account rep. at optus because I had the shits that it didnt support a2dp. He said that the new handheld software for the 8800 (optus) will be released in dec. Im just going of the information that was given to me. Just remember we are all in this forum to help each other not to bag.

Unhappy

Actually talked to a Blackberry rep two weeks ago and he stated that , yes they will release an upgrade that will support A2DP, but could not give me an ETA on it.
