What is "Certificate Sync" ?

I just installed a new version of the desktop software on my computer and I added the option to use certificate synce and now it's an ICON on my Desktop Manager software... What does it do, how does it work ?

Can some one please point me in the right direction to read up on this.

Ever since I setup the Cert Sync'n on my berry... My Berry has been acting VERY slow, alot slower then usuall...

Has anyone else noticed this decrease in speed after installing Cert. Sync ?

Also, How can I uninstall it from my berry once it's on there ?

I don't see how it would impact the speed.

It only installs the desktop component - the 'Berry piece is always there because it maintains a list of valid SSL certs and CA's anyways.

The Desktop Piece just lets you push email certificates to the device. If you don't have any, it isn't even doing anything.

Remove cert sync from your desktop manager if you think it slowed down your blackberry :D

I've had the Certificate Sync installed on my BB for over a week now and it still appears to be running fine.

is there a way to get the original certificates back on the berry? how do you ascertain which ones were on there?

I have installed S/MIME and have certificate sychn icon however under security options I do not have certificates showing. Can you please help

-When viewing the Certificates, is the viewing option "All"?
-Are you on a BES that has S/MIME enabled?
-Did you perform a certificate sync yet?
-What model/OS is the handheld?
-Desktop version?
-BES version?
-S/MIME version?
-Do you have a card reader?
