Default Easy Clean Up

Please Login to Remove!

I've searched and can't find anything on this topic:

My Razr had the ability to "lock" text messages I've chosen, and then I could do a mass clean up of my inbox and/or outbox that would delete everything except items flagged as "locked". Is there a way to do that with my Curve? I really love this thing ...but there are a few things frustrating me - this being a major one. (Also the inability to guess what word I'm typing ...or predictive text or whatever it's called.)

Well ...if anyone can help, thanks a lot guys! I have already found a bunch of other answers in here

For e-mails and SMS messages there is a "save" option in the menu. From there you can also "view saves messages". If you wipe out your entire inbox, these messages will still be saved.

Not sure why you need predictive text on a QWERTY device, but the Curve does do spell checking and AutoText for commonly mistyped words and short forms.

I haven't been able to figure out how to "wipe" the entire inbox, but I will do some searching - thanks!

As far as predictive text, let's say you're typing the word "experience" ...sure it's easier to type out the word on a qwerty keyboard as opposed to a shared character keyboard (without using predictive text), but why wouldn't you rather just type say "exp" and it guesses "experience" and then you hit the enter key (or something like this) to confirm it? I bet dollars to donuts I can type a paragraph more quickly "one-handed" without a qwerty - but with predictive - than typing the same paragraph on just qwerty. I see I'm not the only one who feels this way because I have been reading through all the posts looking for a solution. I think if the Pearl had as nice a camera, I would've went with that ...oh well.

But thanks for the tips : )

ditto he1neken, save the messages you want, like your "locked" messages. Delete the rest if you desire. Same difference.

go to the top of the message list, choose delete prior-- this will "wipe" everything that you haven't put into your saved messages, as J. mentioned.

Guys I really appreciate the help ...but when I goto the top message and press the menu button, I don't see "Delete Prior" in the list of options. Any idea why not?

Go to the DATE BAR, date separator line, and press Menu for DELETE PRIOR.

Not the top message.
